I'm Maylea, and I run Genesis Imagery, a luxury newborn, maternity, and family photography studio in Pacific Pines, Gold Coast. Photography isn't just something I do. I've spent 12 years learning how to make expecting and postpartum mums feel genuinely comfortable in front of the camera, including specialised training in newborn safety and posing.

After you inquire, I’ll send everything you need, including collections, details, and a short questionnaire so I can understand what you’re dreaming of. Whether you prefer the comfort of home or soft studio light, I’ll guide you so the experience feels easy and supportive during these early days.
We schedule with your baby in mind...
Newborn sessions are planned with flexibility, knowing babies rarely arrive exactly on schedule. Once your due date is on my calendar, we’ll stay in touch, and when your baby is here, you’ll simply reach out and we’ll finalize the session date together, with your session being held in my Pacific Pine studio.
The session is calm baby-led and full of care...
You don’t need to plan or prepare for anything. I’ll guide you through the session while giving your baby plenty of space to be held, fed, soothed, and cared for. In the studio, everything moves slowly and naturally, so you can stay present with the little one who already knows you best.
Your Gallery full of things you don't want to forget...
After your session, I carefully curate and edit your gallery, then you choose your favourite images and I guide you in choosing how your photographs will live beyond the screen. Many families choose to purchase heirloom albums, framed artwork, or keepsake pieces so these memories become part of their home and are passed down through the years.
